Johnny is a true blues icon, right up there with Muddy, BB, Freddie, etc., but an often overlooked master musician, is his brother Edgar. If you watch their live version of Tobacco Road, you can see why, although Edgar was a couple yrs younger, he clearly could hang w/ Johnny, or anyone else on stage.

Johnny was more stoned when I saw him in Philly than he was when he cancelled with Freddy. He even talked about it in his bio movie. All 3 took Acid and were so stoned they could see the sound! Just up and walked offstage after 15 minutes took wrong exit off,stage and ended up in audience. Police finally led them backstage. Playing was pretty darn good in that 15 minute jam too.
